TOTAL CARE FOR YOUR PET

It’s not just about good health. It’s also about the
extension of your pet’s life with proper dental care.

Dental Treatment

Just like humans, dog's teeth also need regular brushing and periodical dental check. If left unattended dental disease will develop. These bacteria eat away at the teeth and gum and it can also affect other parts of the body such as the heart and kidney. This is a serious consequence of poor dental health as the infection originates in the gum and can eventually spread throughout the body.

How Does Dental Plaque caused disease?

The bacteria in the plaque produce toxins (poisons) will cause the gums to become red and swollen (inflammation). This is the beginning stage of periodontal diseases. As the disease progresses, the toxins will start to destroy the underlying bone that supports the teeth. Eventually, the teeth become loose and shaky.

Apart from the yearly cleansing, we can also carry out regural check of your dog's oral health and advise you accordingly if and when your dog is due for dental treatment.

At Fur & Away dental treatment is performed without GA (General Anaesthesia) as it will benefit the dog in the long run.

As with all general anaeasthia procedures there are risks involved. This extends particularly to aged dogs or dogs that carry health issues related to heart problems. At Fur & Away we believe it is advisable to introduce the dog, at an early stage, to having its dental treatment performed without General Anaesthesia.
